Breathtaking Beachy Houseboat on Clearwater Island

I don't regret staying here.. but I don't know that I'd do it again unless some things were different. The closet is not usable as a place to put any sizable luggage so we had to put ours in the entry. A better way to do their AC/dehumidifier setup is needed; it is both in the closet and outside of it on one end and the other its just there. I don't know much about boats; however, I would think there should be a solution that could be done similarly to RVs where they have ceiling mount solutions. The AC was so loud that every time it would kick on I'd wake up and I would also go from hot to cold... it wasn't accurate at all. In thinking I'd really rate it a 2 of 5 stay because of that. Also it seems everything heavy is on one side of the boat so there is always a lean to it and when you sleep your feet are slightly in the air; I'd think there was a way to construct it to balance it out. On the positive side it had a great kitchen for a little boat... though I think the fridge is overkill for anyone not staying less than two weeks... but maybe some stay for months at a time. The real thing that saves it from being a two star is the back deck, we loved sitting back there watching birds, fish and even a pair of dolphins. I think this could really be a great place with some alterations a five star then. The area is quiet and relaxing, which is a big plus. Staff very friendly. The reserved parking space also great.

Check in was super easy and the host was easy to work with. We absolutely loved the house boat, it was such a neat experience. It was clean, well stocked and comfortable. It was even decorated well! Having coffee on the front deck was one of the best parts!

Loved the house boat! The host went over the top to make sure we taken care of. They had bicycles to use during our stay! They also had kayaks to use! Will definitely be back for another stay!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience. The location was a perfect combination of being close to the beach, bars and restaurants yet far away and peaceful to get away from the busy action. The hosts were great and very accommodating. Highly recommend
